Four ways you can take part in the Cancer Innovation Challenge

The Cancer Innovation Challenge has £1M of funding to develop new innovative approaches to using data to deliver better cancer treatment outcomes in Scotland. Here are four ways you can take part in the Challenge.

There are 4 ways that you can be part of the Cancer Innovation Challenge:

  1. Apply for funding from the PROMs/PREMs funding competition. The call is now live, and you need to register your interest to access to the full competition documents. There was an information session for interested applicants on 19 April 2017 – you can see a video of the day and download all of the presentations.
  2. Take part in the Cancer Data Dive. This is a 4 day hack event in June (15th-18th) which will be run by Product Forge. Synthetic cancer data sets have been specifically created for this event, which is open to all.
  3. Respond to the Cancer Data consultation. A consultation has been launched to invite people to help us shape the Cancer Data funding call which will launch later in the summer.
  4. Become a Cancer Challenge reviewer. We have an open call for funding application reviewers to complement an internal pool we will be building – if you’re interested, please apply. We’re looking for people with a range of backgrounds – clinicians, patients, data wranglers and business development for starters.

Other ways to participate in the Challenge will be announced over the next few months.
